About the Company: The Traveling Vineyard was designed with the belief that the best way to buy wine is to taste it first. Our tastings are free; they are done in the comfort of one’s own home; and the wine is delivered directly to the customer’s door. By bringing the wine and the essence of the vineyard to our customers we are allowing them the freedom to choose based on their own palate. We are giving the power back to the consumer.
Our first In-Home tasting event was held in November of 2001. The Event was a smashing success, however we did not know exactly how to make it happen. What we did know is that we had to make our in-home tastings work. We realized that if we could help people try wine in a relaxing environment, have fun, and learn at the same time, we could help develop their comfort around wine, and show them the many wonderful variations and varietals of wine available.

About the Products: The Traveling Vineyard has a wonderful selection of wines from boutique vineyards around the globe! Many of them you cannot easily find in stores!  We also have great wine accessories.

Start Up Fees/Cost: Our Starter Kit includes everything you need to start your business.  For $250 you will receive over $400 worth of materials; including our training manual and video, professional marketing support, and accessories for use at your events. We are confident that once you receive your Starter Kit you will have all of the materials necessary to run a successful business (except the wine, which is purchased separately.)

Benefits:  Our consultants are able to learn more about wine while building their business according to their own schedules and goals. Many of our consultants work part-time to make a little extra income while learning more about the wonderful world of wine. Other consultants have set their goals to achieve great strides by treating The Traveling Vineyard opportunity as a full-time business.

The Traveling Vineyard, Inc. supports consultants with very different goals. From part-time Personal Wine Consultants, who run the minimum two events every two months, but get to reap the rewards of being associated with one of the nations premier direct-to-consumer marketers of fine wines in the United States. To Senior Directors, who are driven to grow their business, and share this opportunity with as many people as possible.
Prior wine expertise is not a requirement. The Traveling Vineyard provides all of the training necessary to become a Personal Wine Consultant. We also listen to our consultants and have designed numerous training modules based on our consultant’s feedback.

We provide all of the training to become a wine consultant. Learning about wine is fun, and it is a never ending pursuit. No matter how much you know, there is always something new on the horizon; a new year, and new varietal or blend, a new vineyard, or different food and wine pairings. For the wine enthusiast, our tastings give an opportunity to expand your experience of wine. Our consultants are not necessarily experts, but each one is an enthusiast. Our program allows the consultant to learn about wine at an accelerated pace through our training program. Our hosts and guests benefit, not only from the attending consultant, but also from each other at the tasting. Each person has their own sense of smell and taste, and as a manageable group, the opportunity for learning is greater than just one on one because you get the input of everyone attending.
